pMedGR: The Greek Research Infrastructure for Personalised Medicine

The Greek Research Infrastructure for Personalised Medicine (pMedGR), which operates in the newly established Centre for New Biotechnologies and Precision Medicine (CNBPM) and the Department of Physiology of the University of Athens Medical School, is the first Greek research infrastructure developed in the field of personalised medicine. It provides research services using state-of-the-art technologies that serve public health and are the foundation for competitive research, education, and creation of innovation. It is staffed with specialised scientific and technical personnel, uniquely qualified in the Greek research space.

This Infrastructure has been in full operation since February 2020 with the establishment of five new advanced technology units (www.precisionmedicine.gr/units), which have already made decisive contributions to the support of research projects that are focused on the investigation of mechanisms underlying autoimmune diseases, cancer, as well as COVID-19, performing high-quality genomic and proteomic analyses.

The following Units are currently operating within pMedGR:

  • Personalised Genomics & Transcriptomics Unit.
  • Single-Cell Analysis Unit
  • Mass Cytometry Unit
  • Proteomics Unit
  • Bioinformatic Analysis Unit
  • Clinical Sample Reception & Processing Unit

All CNBPM Units implement an open-access policy. Potential users can contact the Infrastructure directly by using the online Service & Info request form: https://www.precisionmedicine.gr/service-request-form) to track their requests, or ask for more information about the services provided.
